Under its founder Mr Tony Kwong, Manufacturing Systems Technology sets up an automation division, to develop and manufacture automated systems for the electronics industry. |
1992
Tthe automation division of Manufacturing Systems Technology was acquired to form Manufacturing Integration Technology Pte Ltd (MIT).
The Company operated at the Ang Mo Kio TECHPlace I facility with about 30 employees.

MIT entered into an investment agreement with the Economic Development Board Investment (EDBI).
The Company was given the Innovation Development Scheme grant by EDB.
Achieved 25th position in the Enterprise Top 50 (E50) Awards. |

1997
MIT attained 16th position in the E50 award.

1998
Mr Tony Kwong received the Rotary ASME Entrepreneurs of the Year award.
The National Science and Technology Board (NSTB) awarded MIT a R&D grant for a new laser scanner system.
The Company moved up to 5th position in the E50 award.
MIT products penetrated into the European market with CE-Marking certification from EFI Electronics Europe.
The Company was awarded the ISO 9002 certification by the Productivity and Standards Board

MIT made its IPO listing in November.
The Company came in 17th place in the E50 award.

Achieved ISO 14001 certification.
Acquired majority stake in Generic Power Pte Ltd, a provider of advanced machine vision and inspection solutions for the semiconductor and other electronics industries.

Awarded the SEMI S2/S8 approval on its laser marking products

Awarded the Integrated Management System (IMS) certification from BVQI incorporating ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 quality standards.

Set up MIT (Shanghai) specializing in precision engineering and contract manufacturing equipment assembly.

MIT (Shanghai) achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification awarded by SGS.
Set up i.PAC Manufacturing Pte Ltd as a contract manufacturer of high-tech capital equipment.

i.PAC Manufacturing Pte Ltd achieved IMS (ISO Quality and Environmental) certification.

2006
Upgraded ProE 2000i to Wildfire 3 to enhance its design engineering capabilities.

Acquired AMS Biomedical Pte Ltd in May; a contract manufacturer of medical equipment and devices

MIT (Shanghai) relocated to new and bigger premises as part of its expansion plans.

Launched the Solar Business Unit in August. Officially opened by Mr Philip Yeo, Chairman, Spring Singapore.
